AG Yost inks $26B deal with opioid producers

Medina County Prosecutor Forrest Thompson will join numerous colleagues from around the state today in Columbus as talks begin regarding how distribution to states and municipalities will work now that Attorney General Dave Yost has secured bills from the makers of opioid drugs.

"After tomorrow, we could have a better handle on how this is going to play out," Thompson said. "I don't have any specific information that I could confirm until after (today). First of all this is a proposed settlement, that means we're going to need to have a super majority of states willing to sign on.
