Commission meets for settlement

The Washington County Commission met in special session Tuesday morning to pass a resolution regarding a $26 billion nationwide opioid litigation settlement.

“Basically what this is, is a resolution that allows us to accept a settlement from three opioid producing companies,” Commission President Kevin Ritter said. ” Our attorney, Ethan Vessels, has recommended we accept this. It’s my opinion we take his advice, for what that’s worth.”
